At STAG Excavation and Landscapes, we’ve always believed that community is about more than just where you live, it’s about showing up, lending a hand, and backing the people around you. That’s why we were incredibly proud to be involved in Queensland’s very first Free Trade Day.

Now, when we say “free trade,” we don’t mean handing out excavators (although that would be pretty fun). Free Trade Day was all about local trades and businesses donating their time, skills, equipment, and services to help community members in need.

Free trade day

And honestly? It was exactly the kind of day that reminds us why we do what we do.
As a local, family-owned business, giving back has always been a core value at STAG. We spend our days transforming landscapes, but being able to use or daily skills to directly support our community is something pretty special.

Trade industries are built on practical skills, hard work, and problem-solving, but at the heart of it all is people. Free Trade Day brought that to life in the best possible way, with businesses from across the South Burnett Queensland coming together with one shared goal, helping others.

It was incredible to see so many local legends rolling up their sleeves, donating materials, machinery, labour, and knowledge simply because they care.
For us, being involved was never a question of “why?” it was always “where do you need us?” Whether it’s supporting local initiatives, donating time and equipment, or helping bring community projects to life, STAG is committed to investing back into the place that supports us every day.

Queensland’s first Free Trade Day set the bar high, and we have no doubt this is only the beginning of something really special. To everyone involved from organisers, volunteers, businesses, and community members, thank you for proving what can happen when good people come together.

We’re proud to have played our part.
